My duallie with 105K on it died & will not restart. It shuttered & shut off. Had it towed home, changed the Cam Pos Sensor & fuel filter. Checked for codes today with a Snap On machine & it is clear. Cranking pressure is over 2,000 & the tach rises when cranking. Unplugged the ICP & tried. All fuses are good & oil is full & clean. cranks with a little white exhaust smoke but no start. Where should I look next?

fuel pump run? Fuel pressure? How much fuel in tank? They are known for fuel pickup in tank falling off and not picking up past 1/4 tank.

I own a 7.3 so I know the basics, haven't had to troubleshoot a no start. I know the IPR valve on the high pressure pump is known to vibrate loose. Ford Truck Enthusiasts site is active and has a lot of info. https://www.ford-trucks.com/fo...psd-tech-folder.html

When was the last time you installed new battiers. When I had one I need to replace the batteries every two year like clock work.

One of the best days of my life was getting rid of that truck. It was great when it was running but after 3 trips on a roll back it went by-by.

Make sure your water pump is on whenever you check your coolant level.

The batteries are three weeks old. That ford-trucks link that Eman posted is very helpful. Put an injector control module in it. Now it runs rough so it still needs something.

Make sure the valve cover gaskets are pluged in tight. Yu can do the quarter mod to make sure they don't come loose.

Also may need fuel filter.
