Maybe they really mean it this time? Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

I haven't seen anything "official" posted by Galot, but the general feeling seems to be that it is for real. Take care. Tom Worthington

Tom, I wonder how many of the 7 tracks they claim to have acquired will actually show a deed change?

I have absolutely no idea. Maybe we'll find out soon.

I do wish they were trying to acquire tracks that had closed and/or were currently in a bind, rather than tracks that were already doing very well, without any "help". Take care. Tom Worthington

I think it would take a really big carrot for National Trail in C-Bus to switch.

Never say never. I just can't figure out why they are buying these tracks rather than simply sanctioning them. I could understand it, if they were bringing tracks back from the brink, or closed down. Take care. Tom Worthington

As I understand it, the IHRA is now part of an "entertainment" enterprise, with a variety of events.
Nitro cars, monster trucks, concerts, etc., etc., so I can understand wanting to have the gate control (income) at all of those sort of events.
I can get it, but good luck staffing multiple venues.

GALOT Motorsports Park

·
Dear Racing Family,
After careful consideration, we have made the bitter sweet decision to sell Galot Motorsports Park. This journey has been nothing short of incredible, and we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of it.
First and foremost, we want to extend our deepest thanks to our dedicated employees. Your hard work, passion, and commitment have been the backbone of this remarkable facility, and we are proud of everything we accomplished together.
To all the drivers and tractor pullers who competed on our track, thank you for your fierce determination, talent, and the unforgettable moments you've contributed to our events. It has been a privilege to witness your skills and dedication firsthand.
We also want to acknowledge everyone else involved—promotors, sponsors, fans, and community members—who supported Galot Motorsports Park throughout the years. Your enthusiasm and loyalty have played a vital role in making this venue so special.
As we move on to new adventures, we hold onto the wonderful memories and friendships we've built along the way. We wish the new ownership and everyone at Galot Motorsports Park the best as they continue to grow and shape the future of racing and motorsports in our community.
Thank you all for being a part of this amazing chapter in our life.
Best wishes,
Edward E. Wells (Mr. GALOT) & Family

Probably means nothing, but seems kind of curious that IHRA isn't mentioned by name once in that...
