I just saw a fh post from Jerry Barker that Richard Godley has passed away. Rip.

He will be missed. My condolences to his friends and family.

GREAT guy, friend and racer. Godley built trans for some of the best super class and really fast door car racers for many years. if you had a green trans you had good stuff.

Richard bought a brand new white Duramax identical to mine in 2008 after checking mine out, when he was there to pickup 20 stock VB's I brought with me to SGMP, for Richard.

Richard was a good man! Back in the early 80's I took one of his transmissions back to be freshened and got chewed out for painting over the green with red and beige paint from a couple of rattle cans of left-over paint. I thought it would be cool to make the trans match my car. He took exception to that! He will surely be missed.

I did a ton of resale of Glide parts suppled by Godley. He was a funny guy and would rather play golf. RIP Godley
