1.58hp/cubic inch is nothing to get excited about from a 632 that will cost near $25k

I enjoy how GM can sell a car for retail for less than 20K but they want 15K for a crate engine with technology that is 30 years old.

I'm going to assume it has stud rockers. I also assume that to be the case for the 572, but that's a much safer bet. Does anyone know any different?

The excitement should come from the fact that the factories are engaged with this type of marketing and sales in the Era of electric and green. I hope they expand the offerings further. If it's good for hot rodding and racing.....I'm a fan.

I think the fact the OE’s are doing this is what makes it very interesting. And, that it’s “pump gas”. That may all change and it may never become a reality but it’s still pretty cool imo.

1000 hp N/A on pump gas. Pretty cool deal. Out of my personal price range, but still... Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

Pricing hasn't been announced, but the 621-hp ZZ572/620 with which it shares an engine block mold goes for $16,304.82. Expect this to land north of that figure.

Shafiroff has their 632 Big Dawg 945 hp pump gas for 18,250. I would imagine others will be in that range too.

List price on the LSXR 454 was I think $18,000 and saw them for $13,500 and I should have bought one.

I suspect this 632 will list similar price, maybe a little more. The article said $16,000 for the other BBC and Expect this to land North of that price. Regardless to get that 1000 horsepower on pump gas is significant and should be relatively durable.

A 1000hp pump gas crate engine, even at 25 grand will sell well IMO, as long as there isn't much of a wait on delivery.

GM is putting some heat on the "big box" stores with their comparable CU offerings putting out less HP and likely competitively priced.
