Maybe you have heard or seen this? Lots of chat about Darryl Cuttell and IHRA has purchased PBIR and Memphis. This is amazing news for racers.
I made a simple AI search and wasn’t able to find the receipts so there is a chance it’s BS? But they have been on a buying spree.

Yes — Darryl Cuttell has continued his expansion of racetrack ownership in 2025, adding multiple venues to his growing portfolio through the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA).

Verified 2025 Track Purchases by Darryl Cuttell (IHRA Owner)

1. Kil-Kare Raceway (Ohio) — Finalized May 5, 2025
• The IHRA officially completed the purchase of Kil-Kare Raceway, a historic multi-purpose facility, marking a concrete addition to their holdings.

2. GALOT Motorsports Park (North Carolina) — Finalized March 29, 2025
• Darryl Cuttell secured ownership of GALOT Motorsports Park, known for its state-of-the-art features like a climate-controlled racing surface and stadium seating, enhancing the track’s amenities and visibility.

3. Piedmont Dragway (North Carolina) — Announced August 11, 2025
• This acquisition was confirmed later in the year, with Cuttell officially purchasing Piedmont Dragway, a grassroots drag-strip with deep local racing heritage.

Broader Acquisition Announcement (March 7, 2025)

Earlier in the year, the IHRA—under the leadership of Cuttell—announced plans to acquire seven premier drag racing tracks. These were initially presented as either agreed-in-principle or confirmed purchases:

Tracks named in the March 7 release:
• National Trail Raceway (OH)
• Maryland International Raceway (MD)
• Milan Dragway (MI)
• Dragway 42 (OH)
• Darlington Dragway (SC)
• GALOT Motorsports Park (NC)
• Kil-Kare Raceway (OH)

However, it’s important to note:
• Some tracks in that list (e.g., Maryland International Raceway, Darlington Dragway) later clarified they had not been sold to IHRA.
• Milan Dragway was indeed acquired earlier in April 2025 and has been undergoing significant upgrades.

Old news/rumors. Nothing has been confirmed. Besides the purchase price both would take a huge amount of money to make them race ready as all either one currently has is a worn out strip of concrete and asphalt and land around it.
IMO He would really have to hate his money to buy either one in todays market

I know nothing about this man, absolutely zero, but in my experience people who are reckless with money never get rich in the first place. Squeezing the most out of every dollar is a mindset.

If this guy doesn't sponsor every car in the country he might be okay. Seems like Evan only ever had money going out. At the very least this guy has entry money coming back in.
