D4 Bracket finals is basically a Oklahoma shoot out. Ardmore, TVRP and Tulsa why would they have it in TX? Houston has a team but most likely there last one

There are no NHRA tracks in Texas that bracket race anymore. Bracket finals hasn't been the bracket finals in more than 5 years. Mike Greene

Mike, there is a rumor that Todd Martin and Tulsa are Pissed off at the NHRA and may switch to IHRA. D4 could be done on a bracket and divisional level if that happens and also a new owner isn't found for TVRP Noble and it closes

And there is news of a new Drag racing association WDRA. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge. Track champions at Ardmore would go to Vegas lol sammy mathis

Not a chance. He would lose the Heritage Series nostalgia race and a few other things. He may well be mad but I don’t see him cutting off his nose to spite his face. ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner

Time will tell, I have heard it from multiple people so the rumor is out there. Todd also posted on FB after the divisional that it might be the last one so I am sure that did help or may have started it to begin with. Mady has her work cut out for her trying to keep tracks NHRA but she has no control when a track closes

Yep, Steve I’ve been wrong before. I bet he’s mad about losing the WCF Jr. race also. I had forgotten about that. If he didn’t cause so much turmoil it probably wouldn’t have happened. ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner

WCF juniors need to be at Denver but that's an argument for another day. Times change and we've adapted. We just go to a couple close IHRA tracks to bracket race now although who knows what's going on with that cluster F#$k now. Mike Greene

The entry is $40 more, and they pay back to the semi's instead of the round of 32 now.

Yep, but the overall money is about the same as they moved the round money from Super Pro and Pro around to include it into Pro overall now. 2021 Pro only paid $1500 to win $700 to runner up. Now it matches Super Pro at $5000 to win, $1,000 r/u. Not saying that's any better or worse, but the reality is Ardmore, Noble, and Houston legitimately would be the only tracks with "full" teams in the years prior structures and its now 2+ hours further for Houston racers. The "all run" structure will change the dynamic of the car count but it won't be a lot of cars there. I almost could guess Ardmore will see more cars at the Cowpasture's Nationals than they will at the bracket finals.

Max No E paid 3000 not 5000, but they did pay back to 1/4's because that's where I lost. Mady has her work cut out for her to try and get some tracks back to NHRA. Ardmore did great hosting the event, and it was a fun event to attend. It was weird though seeing fewer cars there than for many of their regular bigger bracket races. Guaranteed the Cowpastures and Oil Patch races will both have more entries than last weekend. Talk about a snake pit though at this race. The level of bottom bulb racers has increased dramatically over the years. I haven't been in a few years. Used to be there were some guys who were there just to say they were there. No longer. Everybody there could have won it. Scott

It was a fun weekend. First time I have been to Ardmore in probably 15 years. Lots of improvements to the place. Hate the small gravel everywhere but I think I carried enough home to do my driveway. LOL There were a LOT of good footbrakers there and I was just starting to get a handle on my way slowed down car on Sunday and just screwed it up. If we have a bracket program next year I am going to concentrate on getting ready for this race sooner. Changing stuff every round on Saturday made it a tough go. ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner

I have been helping Jason Scott tune his car for last year and he pulled off second win in 3 races there Sunday and going to Vegas. Tough competition and some good racing. There was a lot of .00X lights and .01X or better packages in footbrake. Everything seemed to run pretty smooth for the Finals for as far as I know first time ever at Ardmore. Almost all racing here in Texas and Oklahoma is 1/8 mile and Vegas will be 1/4 mile. So now we have to slow it down some for Vegas and set it up for 1/4 mile. He is also leading the points in TDRA NE3 class and we have 2 races left for it so we may have to make changes and change it back. I always enjoy racing at Ardmore, it really feels like home and have had good luck there. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. https://www.dragracecentral.co...DRAG-SUMMIT#indextop What a joke, We used to be the toughest and most watched Division in the whole county, now we're the laughing stock. Thank you Trey Capps and the Andy Carter with the Texas Motorplex for ruining bracket racing in Texas. Mike Greene
