This is the inside of a 123 kwhr or 150 kWh, 816 VDC battery. If I’m not mistaken, this is the start of non rebuildable battery packs? Looks like recycling will be tuff toon. In any case, it’s just a new trend from Tesla and perhaps all EV’s.

It has lots of cool features, like drive by wire steering, but to me, it’s very ugly and not very practical for a work truck. They reportedly cost between $82k to $102k so definitely only for well healed buyers.

Has anyone purchased one or drove one?

The unintended concequences are often what the activists miss regarding these new pushes. I suspect in a decade or so we are going to see problems logistically with batteries. China may have a wrap on the market. Recycling will be an environmental nightmare. Expence of ownership will be far higher than anticipated.
I dunno. Looks like I am going to work for a peaker plant. So the extra pull on the grid will enable us to cut a fat hog.

I’m starting to see lots of 3rd party automotive types taking this truck apart to discover how it’s built and work and sharing. Looks like batter removal is not crazy difficult. Just bolted in.
