The previous sanctioning bodies are gone and most tracks can't go NHRA, not going to meet their safety criteria. So is there any word of what's going to happen for 2027?

My hope is that NHRA does whatever it can to welcome as many tracks back to NHRA as possible.

I don't know, but I renewed my NHRA stuff before they jack the price up. $230 for membership and competition number, 2 years.

They can insurance on their own but most tracks like the group discount when you insure with a sanctioning body

Correct, but there is no sanctiong body (group) for them to join. WDRA was on the right track and for some reason gave up and sold out.

Most of us race at small weekly type tracks that NHRA won't have much to do with. Most small tracks have guardrails and I'm sure they won't go for that.

That is a good question that nobody knows the answer to yet. I suspect (Hope) someone will buy IHRA and bring it back. Nevertheless I think the damage done to IHRA by this latest mess is bad and will be hard to recover from.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

They'd be better off naming it Darana. The IHRA name needs to be burned and buried forever.

Been a couple of offers and one was pretty solid but I'm not sure where they are at.
