Laughing very hard unraveling about a track owner you never had a conversation with, about a track you haven’t been a customer of in close to 2 decades, about the legal sale of property by its rightful owner You're Nuts Loser M120

Next and last track in jersey to close will be Island Dragway and no one will be surprised if that is before the start of next season. Regardless, it’s not if but when they close!

I had conversations with Lenny. Easy to tell that he thought he was better then everyone. He was a foolish owner that got lucky because of property values.

You seem to like to know when I race, are you following me? That's kind of creepy

I'm glad that you have so much time building skyscrapers to follow my racing entries.

You aren't right though. Ain't 20 years! I didn't support Atco after I was banned from the track because of ******* Lenny as many other racer as well because of his lack of skills running a dragstrip.

How do you run a racetrack if you ban people that want to race because you have a Napoleon complex.

I'll go to Savoy Blvd and show you my awesome tail lights if you are willing.

Since you know so much 1320, tell me why I was banned

No one here cares about your alleged conversations with the former owner of Atco. Get over it, Atco is done, no more, ain’t being saved by any racer, any company nor the NHRA.

Worry about what you can control in your life, this was never something you nor anyone could control.

That said, I’m not happy about losing another track no mind one in jersey but it’s no surprise about this track unlike ETown 5 years ago and further proof for anyone with their eyes open that what we do is dying.

1320, you know that your an ******* but you are correct.

It's just hard losing the track because of an ******* owner that said he was "A Real Racer" promising the world to all racers.

Had he kept it profitable he might have still be owning it today but he sold out.

What do track owners make for an income?
I'd guess it's not a lot.But if he could make $100,000 a year that would be decent pay for a drag racing owner that loved the sport. He doesn't love the sport or knows how to run a racetrack and made nothing. So he sold .

I am venting here because Atco was my home track. There are many in town racers that are upset as well. Many names that you would know.

The question is are they upset because their home track is no more or because they weren’t successful stopping Lenny from selling his property for millions because like you, they didn’t like him?

I know I’m correct! Your problem, many people’s problem today is everyone is an ass hole you don’t agree with because you don’t like the truth and the facts, it doesn’t work with your opinion, your narrative, your hate but nonetheless what I’ve stated in this thread is the Truth and the Facts.

I really love the sport, but I wouldn't manage someone else's track for $100K/yr let alone have millions tied up in real estate and other assets to make that.

Here in Texas it is often over 110* down on starting line and 150* track temps. Racers complain and getting good help is hard and expensive, Insurance is expensive and even when you sign a waiver some drunk guy texting on his phone trips over a car and sues.Traction compound is expensive, land cost is high, profits are low. Those things and more would sure make me not want to invest in a race track.

As for a manager I can tell you this, I will not be out in that heat for long hours and putting up with complaining racers or ones who do not appreciate it for $100K a year. I always treat all of the track crew with RESPECT and appreciate what they do.

I think someone mentioned something similar here. Why would anyone spend money to build a track, not have a very big profit margin and then put up with racers complaining? Much, much better places to invest money than a racetrack.

There is one track that has recently closed. It was one of worst tracks ever and I will not ever run my cars down that track again even if they did not close. Still I do not want them to go out of business. I wish them well and do not say much bad about them.
I would like for all tracks to prosper and make money. I would like for our sport to Grow and not dwindle away.

Because you NEVER lash out at anyone who disagrees with you on this site. As soon as someone disagrees, has a different opinion or calls your bluff, you start name calling and pointing fingers and trying to belittle them.

M120 is entitled to his opinion same as you.

Not sure what will happen to Island. Copart would not be allowed because of the flooding and you cant build there for the same reason. Either it`s sold as a race track or she closes the doors and let it sit there and rot away. She did say that if she was offered a large sum, she would sell out. You cant blame her for that.

Not for anything else, but if someone put a 12 million dollar check in you hand, you would forget about all of the promises you made to people. All of your problems would be solved and you would go about your business. Fact!

Money talks and bullshyt walks. In todays world/culture it's all about the money. Sad to see so many tracks closing, Atco, PBIR, Bandimere, Atlanta, Emerald Coast to name a few. It was and is all about the money. Ed, agree with him or not,is right dragracing is in severe decline and dying. Sad to see this as dragracing has been a big part of my life for 55+years. However, times change, people change or tempus fugit.

Rumor had been going around for a while about Topeka.
Word is some of the same people are or were working on Flying H track near Kansas City, Missouri. They are supposed to have NHRA National even there next year. We shall see.
