That`s got nothing to do with it.

Yeah, a happy track owner making money wouldn't be less prone to selling out......You're probably right, treat 'em like shyt

What are you going to do, race down a street full of homeless people. Foke California.

Yep, if race tracks go away I'd build a street car and hotrod around the farm roads out here....Don't like it? Tuff shyt

Atco was supposedly sold to a holding company but I suspect that was just a way to sell it under the radar so they wouldn't get the resistance they got last time they attempted it and I am hearing IAA is still the final buyer. If that is the case, then the track sold for approximately DOUBLE what it was realistically worth as a race track. I'm not sure if it's the same case for the track in Florida but, if it is, then it isn't going to matter if you quadruple enter every weekend, buy 50 track t-shirts and eat 200 hot dogs from the concession stands..... most business owners are NOT going to turn down an offer like that on a business with a shrinking client base.

As stated above in someone else's post, many tracks are currently owned by affluent people who make money doing other things, but just enjoy our sport. Or maybe they make less money running a track than they could make elsewhere, but they just love our sport.

I'll continue treating the staff at tracks I attend respectfully. I'm grateful to still have places to race. Others are free, of course, to continue being belligerent ignorant rednecks as they choose.

**** Lenny! I know why he sold it but I hope he croaks after signing the papers.
Lenny is an *******, why would you align with him? You seem to like him.
It would be good for Lenny if he wasn't an ******* and tried to run a profitable track but he did the opposite. He got lucky, no more no less.

Plus the sale to Lenny Capone(family) is not true as what you posted earlier about the lawsuit. You don't know all of it. I know but not my business to say.

Lenny did the correct business decision but he said he was going to bring back Atcos Glory Days because he was a real racer when he bought the track. Oiling down the track or hitting the guardrails in his BEAR TAFC doesn't make for a good track owner evidently. He failed on his promise to make Atco Great Again.

The track was always well prepped because of the employees, not because of Lenny. The employees there have always been the best for decades.

PS: it doesn't matter when I race or don't race. Why does that even matter here. Only people that lick your balls should post here? Ban me then if I have an opinion that differs from yours.

You're a very immature senior citizen! Pretty sure you got 10 years on me. I do know companies that I won't use because of you! I'd say more, but she knows why I'll book my own flights from now on.

And who is this Sisko guy? Don't think he knows me. I'm sure he'll be fine.

don't know Lenny but again, happy he was able to sell HIS business/his property and he never owed you nor any other racer anything except what you paid for at the gate as I stated previously and if you don't know who Sisko is, you were never a bracket racer at Atco!

Goodbye to Atco and thanks for the memories.

The bottom line, you can be nice to the track personal all you want (which you should) but when a big corporation comes in and waves a big check in front of your face, it`s game over. You and anybody else with common sense will walk away. Do you think the Napps would make 75 million in a 15 year span with drag racing? Nope. That`s why track owners are jumping ship and you cant blame them.

Sisko sounds familiarish. He might have lived up the street from me
Ask him about Len.

I'm going back in the pool

That's right up there, who wants to work weekends in the summer?, but only if it doesn't rain. Few have the love of auto racing enough to want to work at a racetrack. Now if they hire somebody they are clueless to anything about a drag race. Tracks depended on cheap labor, hard to find today.
We've had the discussion before but tracks now don't even pay an ambulance crew, too expensive.

Lenny said he was going to make the dragstrip and racing great again. He failed miserably and got a free lunch because of property values.

Since you never met or had any dealings with Len, he is very similar t you. He's an Ahole that talks a lot but it's all bull****. You two could have been best friends!

On a more relevant note to the topic, while driving by the track today, the sign on Jackson road was being removed.
The structure was still there but the signage/Marquee was gone.

We all know that the track is done but unfortunate to the area, which includes a vast amount of racers. NJ, NY,PA, MD, DL.

Edit:
Still trying to find the sisko guy, do you know him?

1. I’m sure you don’t know Lenny just like you don’t know me who you have never spoken to.

2. Of course the sign was coming down, Atco is done, no more, never coming back. Next to close in jersey will be Island which is barely open now and barely has a bracket program with only 6 days.

3. Those racers effected by Atco’s closing will either chose another track to race or sell their stuff, Sisko had cash waiting! Laughing very hard who of course you know!

Pretty sure I know Lenny because of his Nazi attitude.

I was banned by Lenny because of his hate for anyone that supported the track for years and anyone associated with them. He didn't know how to run a race track. I just posted a picture years ago and got banned. A pic of the sign falling apart for months that he didn't do anything till the next day. He fixed it then!

Granted, the profit wouldn't be the best if he kept the track, he made more by selling because of his ineptitude to run a track.

He knew nothing about running a track for any purpose. Alienating the people that supported the track unless you sucked his balls is not a great business decision.

Ask anyone their opinion!

He had offers to purchase as a track but killing racing is more profitable and hard to blame him.

1320, we are on the same page but you enjoy an ******* making money while I think he sold out the racing community because of his piss ass ability to operate a race track.

He got lucky that property values increased and nothing less.

PS: sisko evidently don't want my cut up piece of **** with medium tires. Send him my info.

Glad you hope an ******* made some money and shut down drag racing. You a nd Lenny can stroke each other off 1320.

Lenny came into purchasing the track to be a track owner and make a profit because he loved Drag racing, so he said. He failed because he had no business sense and failed like his previous businesses.
He only got lucky because of property values to large corporations lately. So much for making drag racing great again like he said when buying the track.

He's a piece of **** that did make money. 1320 should be sucking his **** about now.

Why is Ahole 1320 so happy for this?
Does he have an interest in the sale?
Always says he's a big wig in NY business. He claims to design large scale projects but don't know any that his name is attached to.
Maybe 1320 bought the site with all of his bull**** skills.
