Well that didn’t go as planned. Broke a pushrod in the water box on the burnout.

I thought for sure you and Dan were gonna get to run for the national win...good job Moe!! Push rods are cheap in comparison to connecting rods.

Thats the 2nd pushrod I have seen mushroomed like that in the past 2 weeks, the other being on a SB Mopar but same result from lack of oil. Need to figure out why.

This pushrod had plenty of oil and the tip that is worn had very little to almost no blueing on it from heat. The adjuster cup even looked new still.

Weird, maybe just soft metal in the tip. What brand push rod? Maybe a Rockwell hardness test is in order or MFG/Brand change on all your pushrods

My son and I were there for the real exciting times racing with Paul and his Dad John...some of the hilarious going on's at the Bracket Finals....those would bring tears to your eyes.
