I haven't talked to James since late 2023, and since then have reached out to him several times with no response whatsoever. Does anybody have any idea what's up with him? Hope all is good, but it's not like him to not respond, and now it's been basically two years and nothing....

Just call Ron's fuel injection in Tucson AZ, they answer their phone. All James does in drop ship from there anyways. I had them rebuild my pump about a year ago. They called me the day it arrived with flow results and shipped it back to me in 2 days with the after rebuild flow results

Did your pump flow change much after the rebuild?

I sent my black pump in after a couple years, but that was almost 20 years ago now. Haven’t noticed any change in performance that tells me I should have it checked.

Yes, the pump was 10 years old and had been sitting for 5 years and all the seals were hard and leaking, mainly picked up pressure. This was a twin gear billet 01/2 pump

My car came with a Rons 0 gear rotor style pump in 2007 and I sent it back in 2013 as the mounting plate hole was stripped and I was curious the pump condition. This pump output was at the edge of fuel delivery using a #56 pill, but still worked well on this engine. When the pump shop called they said this pump was very old, from the 80’s, and surprised at the internal condition. Said the gears looked polished and flowed slightly more than a brand new pump.

I continued to use this pump to include the conversion to EFI in early 2021, and although the idle pressure was extremely lower for EFI than desired it still worked. I purchased a new Rons 0-1/2 rotor pump and sold off the MFI system the same year. I’m overdriving this new pump by 10% which Rons says is acceptable.
