BTR69Tree readers (here we go again)
I just read this on a FB post in a bracket racing group that's talking about EV.
"Electric cars should be ban they are cheating they have sensors in the bumpers to read the tree "
Has anyone actually demonstrated this to prove it's true?

ferndaleflyerWell they can detect a traffic light so why not the tree? Those cars employ a long list of things not allowed in drag racing so just ban them or give them their own class.

TomRWhy does everyone fear the grid? Without the arc module it is just another ignition but has data acquisition built in.

That's is without question, a bunch of crap. The technical expertise and programming ability it takes just to get into the computer of a tesla would be that of only a few in the world, and I guarantee none of them give a **** about drag racing. Then, to teach the computer system through machine learning how to recognize a christmas tree accurately down to the thousandth of a second and send some signal to a digital or physical delay box would be borderline impossible. In case y'all didn't know, teslas use images as inputs and millions of hours of footage for machine learning to teach the cars what is and isn't roads, signs, stop lights, etc. They don't have specific sensors that pick up on particular stimuli like some sort of light sensor for a stop light or tree in this case.
