The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is returning to its roots with announcing the 2025 National/Pro-Am schedule.

The season kicks off June 13-14 with an event at a soon-to-be-announced track,
featuring powerful 11,000-horsepower Nitro machines and other thrilling classes.
Fans can also look forward to the IHRA Night of Fire,
igniting the sky with high-energy action at Galot Motorsports Park on June 27-28.

The schedule includes some of the country’s most iconic drag strips,
such as National Trail Raceway and Dragway 42 in Ohio, Milan Dragway in Michigan,
and Maryland International Raceway.
The 10-race series wraps up with a Pro-Am at the legendary Darlington Dragway on Oct. 24-25,
followed by the National Finals on Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

More events may be added, complementing an already exciting lineup of grassroots racing,
including Ironman Classics, Sportsman Spectaculars, Summit Team Finals,
and the Summit SuperSeries World Finals. Be sure to follow ihra.com for the latest info.

Whether you're a bracket racer or a top professional,
now is the time to update your IHRA membership and be part of these incredible, action-packed events!

I am curious if he [ Darryl Cuttell] or other investors are willing to invest in a local track for the greater East Texas area. {Tyler, Kilgore, Longview, Hallsville, Marshall, and surrounding areas} The combined population of the area I have in mind would be about 500,000 people within a 50-mile radius. The area was once home to many drag race cars, but as the tracks disappeared, so did the race cars.

I believe a modest track, well run, with aggressive programs and promotions, would be successful.

National Trail Raceway, as of this morning, still has NHRA chassis certs scheduled for April 5, as well as an NHRA Lucas Oil event scheduled for July. And Maryland has issued a press release that the track has NOT been sold to IHRA or anybody else....

Seems like it's a new owner, but the same old clown show from IHRA...

EDIT: And now you can add Darlington and Galot to the list of tracks that have not been sold to IHRA, despite what their press release said....

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

IHRA is STILL insisting it is true

Dear Lord. The circus continues. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

I thought I read that IHRA and WDRA had merged. Some of those tracks mentioned were WDRA weren’t they? Sanctions and owning are 2 different things and I know 2 of those tracks aren’t selling to anyone.
