Take it one step further.

Starting tomorrow, NHRA decides to close the doors - they're done - any and all future races are now cancelled.

Tomorrow night, maybe the next few days we hear the collective groan of fans everywhere going "wow".

Two weeks from now, they have all moved on doing other things and activities with their time and dollars.

Whether we are racers or fans, we do this for some enjoyment (at least most of time), something to do on occasion for the casual fan, something more serious for the diehard few that are left. But if it goes away I don't think there is much of an impact.

Race tracks will get their own insurance and continue to operate. Have very little effect on most at least on this website.
