I totally agree and am same way it just burns me when it take me the other lane forever just to prestage.

If it burns you when they take forever that is WHY they do it to get you off your game and force you to change your routine. They want to get you irritated and your concentration side tracked.
Do you own thing, do not let them bother you and have a plan if they do act stupid.
I have a "Retard" switch on my car. It is a fan on the water pump that has a thermostat. When they act retarded I simply flip the switch on and it is not going to get hot. Then I just relax and do my thing with my normal routine as much as possible.

Thing is just do not let an idiot make YOU do something stupid in reaction to them.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Used to be a racer at one of the tracks that played that take forever to stage and thought it was always for him to stage last. One day the racer in the other lane just pulled up close and shut his engine off and waited. Next thing I knew the take forever racers wife threw a broom at the shut down car and the the fight was on. Funny as he!!.

Matt Daddas would hate a timer I'll bet.

Fern, Matt Daddas is one of the best, won’t change the game nor outcome for him nor any of his peers who too like to control when the tree fires, there’ll just be more wheel turners. Laughing Hard

if you ever race Matt, his procedure is nearly the same time wise. He doesn't do anything uncourteous.

If you've never met him, you won't find a friendlier person at the event.

So since I do race a lot, usually, I have met him and raced him more than once and have been on both sides of the win light. He is a nice person as well. That statement was meant to be funny as so many worry about it. I get a kick out of watching his deal and how it affects so many. You all carry on and I'll go racing as often as I can

I just pay attention to how people go about their racing then adjust accordingly. Slow stagers let them burnout first, if they like to duck around well I can too. It doesn’t get to me like you think.

I personally like the pitch clock. Speeds the game up but keeps all that dilly dally bs'ing to a minimum.

It's no longer baseball, it's entertainment.
Any time you modify sport for marketing it's bad.
Your cheating the game, the fans of the experience, and the vendors of sales.
