Larry, I haven’t worked a National Event since 2018 however I have no complaints working for them. They were very good to me even after I left I still have conversations with a lot of employees. It was a good run that started in 96 with a couple of events each then expanded in 2010 to roughly 20 events a year

Worth mentioning:

To those of you, (for whatever reason), have not had the opportunity to attend an event where Mike was the Announcer trust me you've missed one of the very best Announcers in this sport.

L8R, Bob

Sorry Mike, couldn't resist the L8R.

I agree Bob. Mike is a NHRA historian and a very knowledgeable sportsman announcer.

Looks like Robert Hight has retired as President of John Force Racing. Him quitting driving and never saying why and now retiring there is more to the story.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Sorry to see Robert retire, I hope it's not health related. He is a down to earth good guy.

He got out of the seat due to a health issue.

Robert bought a gun shop in Spanish Fork Utah. He’s very big in trap shooting and this has been in his plans for sometime

Hi, Larry! Unfortunately I don't work for NHRA anymore, as my wife has some disability issues after a fall two years ago.
Last year I left after the finals in Pomona. I'm still out bracket racing so I hope to see you out there somewhere.
Back to NHRA, The parking and pit control crew consists of a lot of new guys and I'm not sure things will be going that well until they get some experience and get to know the racers, Good luck!!!
