So if anyone has been paying attention, there was a controversy regarding a racer staging, got deep, backed up, re-staged, and won the round when the competitor did not even make the run, thinking that the other racer would clearly be DQ'd.

It's always been my understanding that whether stated in the local rules or not, you have ONE chance to stage your vehicle, if you back up, you're out.

Thoughts on the incident, or your understanding of the "rule"?

2 weeks ago my s10 rocked in and turned the top bulb out as soon as the other car fully staged my red light came on.
And no I didnt idle down the track and cry like a baby like some do, I knew I eefed up and made a full pull and got no time on the slip. Pretty sucky way to end my season Mad

^^^^^^ 1001 ways to loose a drag race. Car issue or 100% operator? Good for you getting off the track promptly. I too dislike when others just idle off having no mechanical problems.
