I haven't kept up on the House of Kolor paint charts and have a question on what might be the closest to the color on my truck.

I have a 77 F150 short box 4X4 that was painted in a Kandy Apple Green color shortly after it was purchased. From what I remember I believe the color back then was called Sea Green. It was done with a gold base instead of the silver usually done with that color.

Does anyone remember that color and have any idea what would be the closest match in their current lineup. From what I can tell the Organic Green color might be as close as I can get staying with the House of Kolor Kandy Apple paint.

The truck is also trimmed in gold leaf.

Thanks,
Joe

That sounds like a question you should ask them. They should be able to tell you and even if it is no longer stock color they can probably make it.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

You will absolutely need to talk to the folks at House of Kolor. The top coat is one thing but the base coat is paramount in the final color.

When everything is coming your way, your probably in the wrong lane.

Call coast air brush in Anaheim Ca. They're very knowledgeable and have a HoK mixing machine, I think they can mix the older stuff on a custom order.
