Raped ape!!!

I am in the market for a new to me car or two. Anyway I have run across the phrase "runs like a raped ape", which is not new by any means but not sure it meaning. I have never raped an ape, or been around after the fact to see just how fast a raped ape is.Not sure I want to be either. But for future reference if anyone can shed some light on just how fast a raped ape is it might be helpful. What kind of 60' times am I looking at here? For the record I highly doubt I would ever seriously go look at a car that is described as being as fast as a raped ape but maybe I am missing out here...That is all. Oh yeah I am looking for a quality car too Smile

Raped Ape - To fight or do something with great intensity.

Don't cheat him or he'll go off like a raped ape.

My car is running like a raped ape.

Don't tell a liberal the Truth, or they'll go off like a raped ape.

Don't tell a conservative a lie, or they'll go off like a raped ape.

Don't steal from him or he'll go off like a raped ape.

If the government is destructive of their God given duty to protect God given rights, the people might go off like a raped ape, and alter or abolish it.

Yeah I’m thinking that could be very dangerous.. Knowing you I am sure you will find a quality car without the Ape...

Raped ape is an old school catch phrase.

I think something like this would fit ya OP.

I could make due with old school. Picking the smallest hammer out of the shop drawer ain't so bad, believe me.

Get ya an old school car, something comfortable with a lot of window space.

Save your money in uncertain times.

Lol, I love a car that is described as being "fast" and no actual data (timeslips) because fast is subjective..

Yeah Mike I'll pass on the Chevelle..Already have a 68 Camaro with plenty of window and runs ok for a pump gas deal. Drive to the track and run 9's with the A/C on and drive home.

Amazes me the JUNK that is out there for sale these days.

Barry I'm getting closer and closer to calling Mr Perez about his car. Maybe not done with TS yet...

I'm hooked BBC Chevelles after burning $70 fuel out the back of the tire fryer WFO.

That thing got crashed BTW, dude had Hagerty's classic insurance so it's getting fixed. GearVenders overdrive unit sitting here idle.

Hopefully it won't remind him of snow driving in Chicago, so much, when he gets it back this time.

That car got sold out from under me. Not even a courtesy call to allow me to counter. Just sorry we sold it.. Would love to go SS racing but not much out there. My fault I guess for being out of town for couple days.

Made me smile Al. Good luck or your search. I know what you mean about junk for sale. I looked at dozens of 1970 SS 454 Chevelles, before compromising on the one I bought.

Seems to be an almost universal truth right now. At this rate maybe I'll buy another(just bought one a coupe weeks ago) engine on a stick and a street car.

I looked for a while, more like "kept an eye open" and jumped at the chance. I certainly don't feel like you can sit on anything too long deciding before someone else snaps it up.

Curtis, no or low inventory here so multiple bidders drive a property up way over asking... bid wars.. How do you finance or qualify the loan when the appraisal is still low...
