TheBlueTruckI was talking about that the other day Barney. I just don't know if I can squeeze a .370 light out of the truck. I have been 156 on a 10.90 though.

RPROGASI believe that I've been more successful in S/C with my roadster because of the lower than normal/average class speed. I remember Greg Ventura winning S/C at Vegas with his Nova a few years ago, I don't believe that he ever took the stripe. Something about a "Wilwood sandwich" was his parting comment.
Increasing the closing rate is something to consider, plus dropping speed is far more effective. When I do a late drop at 164 it barely changes the ET, but at 110 with a light car, it really changes the ET.
Just a thought.

Larry ScarthFOOT NOTE: K.K. is the only driver to win a National event in Super Street, Super Gas, Super Comp and Top Sportsman. An incredible feat, but whats more incredible is, he did it in the same car! That is like Don Larson pitching a perfect game in the 1956 World Series. Can never be beat, only equaled.
When everything is coming your way, your probably in the wrong lane.

That is amazing and incredible...and very unlikely to be even equaled....
I don't know KK but he's one talented racer and that Wally Collection picture earlier in this thread is mighty impressive....

If I leave at 6000 I need fifteen in my delay, you can do it. The truck is awesome

Actually Ed after looking at the 1st qualifer Kens car is the fastest at 191 but Howie Smith with his sr20 motor was next at 188 then Debbie went 187. But those APD motors definatly do rock. Ed I hope u put ur order in for urs

1320racerHowie is also the lightest at under 1800 lbs. Not yet, exploring other options.

Still wondering how they got a Top Sportsman car to legally weigh 2,800#...

Lenny5160Is 1800 lbs insanely light? My M&M goes down the track at 1865 lbs, and has lots of chrome and no effort whatsoever into weight savings.

1320racerless than 1800 and yes, when most super comp cars with an aluminum block and average size driver, are 1850-1875. That said, Howie's car is fast and his engine is built by a guy in PA that does this part time.

SCDIV1Ernie Kendal....8.90 at around 205 or better. I raced him a few times going back to probably 2010 or earlier...and was going maybe 172 the last time at Cecil....
John Spar what 25-30 years ago was hitting 200 running S/C....
I have also been in the other lane running with Ken Moses not long ago.....Those APD engines are making some big power....He went 190-191 on that run and a .90
Screw the weight, put a blower on it and zoomies....
