Looking at a Simpson Devil Ray helmet from this business. Has anyone heard of them and any good or bad reviews?

Why not just get it from Simpson?

I had a Devil Ray and it was a nice helmet but I was disappointed when I first got it and saw the made in China label

Biondo Racing products sells helmets. Their prices are competitive and all of the staff are racers and couldn't be better to deal with.

I have to wonder if the helmets are done the same?
Lots of Chinese crap goes to Vietnam to get shipped over here.

High end "Italian" leather products are produced by the thousands of Chinese slaves flown into / out of Italy daily, that's how Covid got to Europe, from Wuhan.

China buys industries all around the world, then uses their slaves to staff them, where allowed.

With all that said, no, I can't say anything about that seller, and good luck finding an USA made helmet. Red Face

The only reason I even thought about this company was the price on XL helmet and supposedly in stock. It was around 300 dollars less than anyone else. Could be a con

You're definitely doing the right thing to ask around. If you can't find something in stock anywhere except some site you've never heard of, it's likely they are a drop shipper that never hold inventory and is not aware if the supplier has any on hand or not.

The price being significantly better than anyone else would be another red flag for me.

We all want to find a deal on something, but the trick is identifying when the deal is too good.

What's the old saying... If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is?

$300 less than anyone else? Yeah, scam for sure. And FYI, my Impact Champ is made in USA!

Not all Simpson helmets are made overseas.

Common practice in custom painting is to order a shell and after paint, send it back to Simpson for assembly. If they are unable to send a shell, the helmet is made overseas. Their Texas location is where helmets are assembled.

I bought the Simpson Venator carbon helmet directly from Simpson. Some appear to be made in the US but the size I bought was made in Italy.

This could very well be true but I’ve also gotten good deals from drop shippers who might not know what they’re selling and do a 5% or 10% off code site wide. Always use a credit card for purchase protection.

Took a risk on my current set of big bubbas like this. Cheaper than anywhere by over $100 plus free shipping and no tax. Came in two days with fresh date codes and a matched set.

I like to go to a National event and go to the Simpson trailer. Not sure if they are still out there but Debbie and her husband have ran it for a long time. That way you can try them on too. And the more you buy the better they help you out
