Made my first race last night making it to the 5th round at 12 cars before falling out of the seat. But looked good doing it.

Yes, he was still in at 6 cars when I left. Long ways to drive to bracket race on a Saturday night but it does pay $4000 to win which is better than NHRA SG

Sounds like a solid outing. Good job and the truck does look great.

Both, XRP always has a huge turn out for their points bracket races then you add first round BB its like having 2 first rounds. This one was a 8 round race.
I Also run the 5.80 index races when the pair them with the outlaw pro mod races. Its fun because you get to race in front of a crowd. they have 5.00, 5.80 and 7.00 index. normally 30-50cars in the 5.80 and 7.00 classes

Those are good payouts. Wish it was at least 2 hours closer.

X2!

It has been some time since I hauled to TX. to race. I'm not much for travelling anymore but that flyer has me thinking.

They have a Benefit 5.80 index race scheduled for memorial weekend that last year paid $12K with donations and track money, as of right now the donations are sitting at $6K. Its for a index racer that passed away of a heart attack in his race car at the ready line a couple of year ago

OK Big,

I'll take a nibble on the 5.80 Memorial race. What's allowed or not allowed for electronics? Is IHRA friendly with NHRAs licenses & chassis cert?

IHRA License and membership only matter if you are chasing points, I have niether.

Index rules are no down track activated throttle stops allowed, fixed stops, restrictor plates and all other electronics allowed. I use the grid to slow from 5 teens to 5.80. 5.0 and 5.80 are .400 pro tree and 7.0 is .500 pro tree.
When they get a flyer for that race I will let you know
