Looking for a set of fabricated valve covers for my sbc. My previous set came from Biondo
and were slapped around when the shaft rocker broke. Anyone have a go to on these?

Looks like Williams makes them for Biondo, they make a SBC version but not sure why Biondo doesn’t list it. Alkydigger (and I’m sure elsewhere) carry them, both with a pre installed oil fill and not: https://www.alkydigger.net/cat...TAb96nwUtgkQ-apKDW6i

I got my big block covers from Biondo. Had to modify one corner to clear the master cylinder. Luckily my boy is an excellent welder.

I have looked at several on Ebay. My problem is that several of them
have an 1/8" rail. Would like at least a 1/4"

I bought a set of Brodix fabricated SBC valve cover about 3 years ago. The rails are supposed to be .500 thick, never measured them but they're thick.

Beware, when I received them, the boxes stated MADE IN CHINA!

I have a cheap set, probably from White's Performance. Biggest complaint is the junk bolts they come with. I'm not putting much money in valve covers.

I am not crazy about spending extra $ on good valve covers. Just that the 1/8 inch rails have issues sealing well and add in a vacuum pump it might not work that well for me.

I made my valve covers with 1/2" rails and I personally wouldn't want any with less than 3/8". I realize the options are probably 1/2" and 1/4" but that's just my opinion.

Also whatever covers you buy put a straightedge on the rails before you install them to check for bowing. I have always faced mine after welding.
