A banned racer showed up at an event at an NHRA facility, and was sent home

Bet that was more the track operator. Racer in D7 bracket raced a entire season while suspended from NHRA.

....................it would be difficult to enforce the ban. Nobody checks for such things.

Perhaps, but it is not unprecedented. We had a racer who was a drinker, and who eventually stopped driving....maybe not by choice. He got drunk AND beligerant one too many times, and got banned by the track, and the sanctioning body. Calls were made to other tracks under that sanctioning body within a reasonable driving range to let them know. That dude couldn't race or step foot on those properties. Pizz the right person off hard enough and they will make sure

Enforcing a NHRA suspension is up to each Sanctioned Track Owner/Track Manager, to a point. If the Track Owner or Manager elects to ignore the suspension then it would be up to the Division Director to force their hand, provided he finds out about the violation. If the Division Director does catch the person violating the suspension, that 1 or 3 year suspension could become a lifetime suspension and/or an increase in the fine.

Has anyone continued racing at NHRA Sanctioned Tracks, yep!
