Let me be the first to guess…. It’ll be a wagon

I went with the Racepak Smartwire. I just got the base module without a harness as I build my own and didn't feel like paying that much extra for a few feet of wire I already have.

I think a complete Racepak system with Smartwire, Data Logger and newer ProDash would be excellent. Are you considering purchasing the Smartwire Keypad ??

I have a lot going on right now and just going to get what ever I can done.
Building two BBC blower motors 565" and 632" for NE1 next year in the Amish Outlaw car. Still waiting on machine shop..... Whole new deal for me so will require a bunch of testing.
For my other Altered I am adding a new rear wing and doing some changes in the front end and it will be ready for bracket racing.

Then on my property out here I have about 20 acres I am removing trees, clearing brush, leveling out, plowing, removing rocks and planting grass. This property had several rock cliffs around it and I have knocked the high spots down, hauled off the rocks and filled in the low areas so I now have gentle rolling hills. My tractor is really too small for the tress I am trying to get rid of so that has become a real job. I was walking the dog out there one day and since I bought the additional property I thought I have a place now I could build a runway, I have always wanted to fly so here we go. I have now built a runway at my house and will build another hangar when I can.

Decided I want to fly so I bought a starter plane and taking lessons. Then I found an Estate deal on 12 airplanes that have been sitting for a few years and some are not finished so I bought all of them and the hangar. They made me an offer I could not refuse. Building these airplanes has been a lot more work than I expected but it is fun. These are Light Sport planes, I will be finishing them up and selling them all off except my two keepers for me. One of my planes flies around 50 MPH and can fly low over lakes and ponds etc. Another has a cruise speed of 95 and is like a small acrobatic plane, it can climb at insane rates and do way more things than I ever care to. This is the plane I will use to go from my house to hangar in good weather and fun flying. And my other plane is a two seater that has 200 MPH top speed and I can go most any where in Continental America in. Building airplanes is like a racecar, you do what you can then you are stuck waiting on parts or machine shop and have to work on something else until you get what you need. Plus my hangar is 45 minutes to an hour away and when I need anything is always an adventure. May eventually build a small house out there. Getting a Pilots license is not easy and can be expensive but I am working on it. A lot to learn here for sure.

Basically every day I look at weather and what parts I have for airplanes or race cars and then decide what to work on that day to get the most done. I am not going to be out on the tractor in 29* weather or rain, will work on cars or planes inside. In the end what ever I get done is what it is. Retirement is hard work and not for the weak or lazy.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Glad I'm not doing as much as Curly. I do have about 6-7 acres of trees I'm starting to work on clearing. Just the small ones though. I bought a chipper and a splitter earlier this year that will help with the job.

I cured that acreage problem about 20 years ago. I had 354 acres and sold it all but one, sold that a couple of years ago. Now this 5 I have in NC works me to death! 10 degrees here this morning so moving slow. Am supposed to go pick up a Smart car this afternoon but might be to cold for these old bones. Race car is warm in the heated garage and I hope the motor home is ok as all I dd was leave the heat on. Hey life is good so everyone be safe

My race car was as good as it's ever been at the end of 2025, so I plan on hitting the practice tree a lot, and pick up where I left off a pretty good run of deep round appearances.
Got to train the grand daughter to tow the open trailer so the grandson can dip his feet into the Jr. Street field in the old 4-door Slova, and do some upgrades (posi rear and gear, line lock, shifter) and safety checks on it.
Baby girl doesn't seem all that enthusiastic about the bracket racing thing, she has her eye on sport bike stuff right now (Dad has a 1000cc Ducati just sitting), and marching band takes ALL of her time right now.
Have a resto-mod project coming in that should provide racing $$$ for 2026.
Hoping to survive the winter mostly.
