I like most of what IHRA is doing as far as trying to bring back tracks and support racers but does not look good firing all the top guys every few months.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Owner can buy all the tracks he wants but IHRA will fail without the right people to run it. Seems to be a revolving door at the top and that isnt good.
Pretty chicken chit to fire him by text message if you ask me

I expect Cuttell is a good business man, as his company seems to be pretty darn successful. Then again, maybe he just lucked up and hit it big by being able to fill the needs of different industries at the right time? My assumption is, he's hiring/firing based on what direction he feels his business needs to go, and keeping feelings/personal relationships out of it. I do hate to see so much turnover in such a short period of time though. It brings overall credibility of the organization into question. Really sucks for those he's fired. Firing via text message is pretty chicken sh*t to me as well. More to the story? Maybe so. I plan on racing with IHRA as time and ability allow. As I gather it, they seem to be treating racers pretty good, regardless of what's going on with hirings/firings.

How many people have been let go or left now since the restart of IHRA?

Also agree firing someone via text is not professional at best. There are two/three sides to the story for sure but seems the precedent has been set. Didn't they fire the marketing guy as well?

Most everyone agrees that firing someone by Text is not right. But how many of those same people would say it is okay to QUIT by text.......

As for firing someone it is not something to be taken lightly. Often it will take 6 months or more to get a replacement in there and trained to do their job like you want. And during that time you are doing most of the work yourself until they are able to take over and get it done. Then and only then do they really start making you money.

On the other hand it is a sign of a good business man who will cut his losses and move on if the person or business is not performing or making it. For instance Trump has started many businesses and put thousands of people to work at good paying jobs and BILLIONS and BILLIONS into the economy. But 5 of those companies were not performing not going to make it so he cut his losses and shut them down. That is good business and may be what Cuttrell is doing here. I do not know but he has sure fired a lot of people and I would like to see more stability at the top.
