Tom39675-80 Dragway reopening?
Link to another messageboardScroll down the thread I have linked to see photos of clean up underway. Considering the current trend of tracks closing, more than opening, this could be a real boost for folks in the immediate area. And the fact that they aren't starting off with bracket racing is OK too. The most important thing, for now, is just getting operations started again. Take care. Tom Worthington

ferndaleflyerTom if I remember right EPA wouldn't pass that property for development. Wonder if Bill Wilcom still owns it.

KWigI rode by it several years ago. Made me sad to see it shuttered, after reading about a lot of the history. I’m glad to see it getting revamped. If I wind up working nearby again, I’ll check it out.
I hope they can get it going again.

fatpackAs of early June the property is no longer owned by The Wilcoms per Ron Wilcom! Bill had been scheduled to be one of the special guests at the Nostalgia race this past Saturday at Mason Dixon but it was announced, with the heat and not up to it he didn't come out.

Curly1Any time a new track opens or an old one reopens is a good thing.
We need all the tracks we can get and we need to bring young people into this. Which is two separate problems but both related.

-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.
Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.
