We have been watching some. I enjoy it and like to watch and celebrate the athletes that put in years of their life to be the best at what they do.

I have been trying to figure out how I could care less, as of today still no answer. Watching Meghan Rapino and her friends crap on the American flag is not something on my "Must Do List". These ungrateful bozzo's certainly aren't concerned about accepting money from America while they are burning the American flag.

Bob, let's not judge the over 600 athletes by a few A-holes. I can guarantee you that there are a lot more patriotic athletes there than those who aren't. I support those young people.

If we aren't supposed to judge all police officers by the actions of few bad ones such as Derek Chauvin, then why do it in this instance? I don't mean this only to you specifically, just replying to that point of view which it seems a couple others in this thread share.

Also, agree with what you said.

I do like gymnastics, women's and men's.

I did love seeing that young American fencer who won the gold holding the flag with a big smile.

I've quit watching pro sports completely. Same reason, and they also have patriotic athletes. The thing is, even their own teammates can't speak out against these America haters without being canceled.

You are absolutely right. BUT, those Athletes and Police that do not do anything about the bad ones are part of the problem and we lose respect for all of them.

It probably has not hurt them one bit but when they started the BLM and taking a knee and all the other political junk I turned them off. STFU and chase the little ball around but do not tell me what to think or do. I do not need them and do not miss them.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

I agree with curly...I don't judge the entire olympic team for a few bad apples...but....I do judge our olympic committee for allowing any political protests...there is a time and place and this ain't it...I usually watch it wall to wall but this year I have watched maybe 5%...

Sounds like more TV problems.

No TV, no problems. Smile

If people didn't bring their TV problems to FB, I wouldn't know a grown women existed that died her hair purple.

Pretty immature if you ask me.

The only legit excuse for dying your hair purple I can think of, and I'm not hating on the women, I could care less if she grew hair on her chest and claimed she was a man, is to have tripped on shrooms one too many times.

Other than that, you're just plain immature.

Just so you know, these are TV problems. Turn it off, unless you enjoy freak shows worse than the Jerry Springer show.

These people are not the pillars of civilzation, unless you make them so, watching TV.

Saw a pop up that Simone Biles is out due to injury. I am sure she and her family are heartbroken.

Tried to watch last night. Fell asleep in the easy chair 10 minutes in (according to my better half). The Olympics have always had some political intrigue, 1976 games and Carlos Reed fist pump. Its part of Americana.
