Americana - Materials relating to American history, folklore.

Folklore - the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, passed through the generations by word of mouth.

When was the last time "Americana" was allowed on TV?

Americana is Gods Country.

You won't hear America is Gods Country on TV.

Just so you know, these are TV problems.

This is a truth few, very few, will admit or even recognize. TV is as much a part of the older generation as phones, eyepads (sic, after all you do look at them) and computers are to today's youth. That's the beauty of new generations, the old die with their old ways and the young accept what ever they are feed by marketing, government, parents (religion comes to mind) or whatever.

She is taking a real toll on her body so this is not a big surprise! She is lucky to compete this long , that just goes to show you what great shape her body has been in these years. She has done so much for her sport she must be very proud and I congratulate her .

America is supposed to be a country that makes fun of the countries that do not allow their citizens to publicly express themselves, whatever it is they are expressing.

I can’t watch.
I feel like my mental health would suffer so I’m watching the Yankees cause I’m used to seeing them lose this year.

I’ll skip the Limpicks

These spoiled athletes can express themselves on their own time and their own platform. The Olympics was never intended to provide a platform for chronic, malcontent activists to express their personal or political opinions on anything. Hop around, throw your balls, etc., then STFU! And for God's sake, please get Simone Biles a giant crying towel.

Maybe old news to some but I just heard, not paying any attention to the Olympics, the televised opening ceremony and the first couple of days saw a 33 year low in TV ratings. Clearly the people have spoken.

Both, when they open their orifice to try to tell me what to think and do then I am done with them.

And I do not think anyone who disrespects our Flag, our Anthem or our Country should be allowed to Represent us in the Olympics. We pay for them and the least they could do is show some respect.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

You said "those Athletes and Police that do not do anything". The reason I asked for clarification is because I don't believe in any way other Olympic athletes should be responsible for trying to control another athlete.

I don't disagree with what you said above about a disrespectful person but what I originally highlighted isn't all that you were saying in that post.

In other words as I have said before, don't blame the whole for the transgressions of the few and I am speaking of the Olympic athletes.

Watching the womens' 400m hurdles was a bit restoring in my faith in these athletes. 1st and 2nd go to USA. Both women appeared proud to carry their country's flag. Both thanked God for their opportunities. Both had outstanding performances.

Do athletes from any other nation bash the country they're representing?
I'll be glad when the 'Woke', pro gay, anti-American Olympics are just a bad memory.
