Just go figure, at age 78, I am building a new shop! It is a 40x40 with a 20x40 carport. Two lifts, HVAC, potty, utility sink, kinda square S-10, and much more. More soon

For comparison, the shop is bigger than the house, and rightly so Smile

Ya know, when I bought this place the realestate woman asked me how I liked the house. I told her ask Mama, the garage was just what I wanted. It to is bigger than the house. Looks like you are on the way.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

You have inspired me to have a carport added to the front of my shop..I sent a request to the folks who built mine for an estimate and plans.

Thanks Larry

Dave, it is mighty handy. In the background you can see our former carport which is now beside the new shop. The shop is 40 x 40, and the carport is a 20' overhang—room to park three cars.

Also, once everything is organized, my partner will be able to park her car in the house garage, and we are pleased with the entire setup.

While I am bragging about my fine setup, Smile I can come off the street, pull through or around the shop, then drive back into the street from the other side.
