You know, the election went the way I think is a LOT better for the country. And I am a real believer in the Trump economic approach.

But what concerns me is trusting that corporate America will do the right thing. I used to have pretty good confidence in Corporate America. But anymore, the DEI and corporate toxicity and greed have me wondering if tariffs will just make it easier for them to hold American's hostage pricing wise.

And I don't hold a lot of hope that the swamp can be completely drained. It is deep and wide.

You are right. You are 100% right, the Swamp is Deep, wide and Dirty. And the Democrats are not stupid, they are evil but not stupid. You are Right about the Trump approach and that is exactly why the Deep State and Democrats are fighting it so hard.

Under Jimmy Carter they created Department of Education to force schools to promote their agenda. They now give Billions of our Tax dollars to College and much of the reason for that is to force the colleges to promote the Democrat agenda.

They bought up all of the stock on the news and Social Media and now control it completely. Now the Media does not even hide it. They tell you how to vote and threaten you if you do not vote how they tell you to. The biggest problem in America is the Media no longer gives us the news, it programs us and tells us what to think and how to vote. Many are not smart enough to even see what is going on there and believe everything the Media says. That will not change overnight if ever.

Corporate America - Well lets look are Pharmaceutical industry for instance. They spend Billions maybe in the Trillions buying advertising and buying POLITICIANS. Why? Well it is not to sell drugs, it is to prevent them from getting sued or bad press. Protection from the very top in Congress.

TWICE as many people have died from side effects of the COVID Vaccine than died from COVID. Remember Covid was created in a Chinese lab with our Government funding under Obama and Dr. Fauchi through the NIH. Why isn't the Media talking about that? Because the Pharmaceutical Companies are paying billions in advertising to keep those things quiet. Why isn't our Congress talking about it? Because they are owned by the Big Pharmaceutical companies.

Optimistic about the future? Lets talk about Drag Racing and the open borders. Drag racing would for the most part would be gone before Kamala left office had she won. It is struggling now and has for a long time. Trump winning may extend our sport for a while but I still see direction it is heading.

Open Borders, that is a problem intentionally created by the Democrats to weaken our Sovereignty and bring in Democrat new voters. They were very successful in that and we may never fully recover. Even if we were able to gather them all up, take them off Government funding and Deport them it would cost Billions of dollars.

I do not really know that I am optimistic but I do know we have to fight and never give up. Do not get on that train, do not let them tell you how to vote and what to think.

I do believe Trump is doing what may be a game changer with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in the DOGE. There is way too much Government waste and they are the Deep State. They are going after the enemies with in by going after their funding. Let us hope they are successful.

I am confident that Trumps Cabinet picks will not only fight the Deep State but try to set it up so they can never take control again.

The whole world including China breathed a sigh of relief when Trump Won as nobody wants World War 3 or a Depression that Biden /Kamala were trying to put us in. Do not think we are safe yet, Biden is still trying to escalate it into World War 3. Teams have been picked. Russia, China, North Korea, Iran are on Team Evil and we are on the other side. China is in a strange position, they want to be leader of the World and biggest economy and they rely on America to buy most of their goods. Should America go into a real Depression then China would suffer almost as bad and they know it. Yet China wants to take over Taiwan and have chosen the Russian side on this new War Biden is starting.

Shipments by Sea went from about $100 each to $500 and instead of taking 30-45 days some took over 6 months to get. That was on Biden and had nothing to do with Trump Tariffs.

Which brings up a real problem, anything Made in America has about 50% Taxes built in to cost of goods. The Employees pay Income tax, you have sales tax, corporate taxes, fees, permits, property taxes, school taxes and all kinds of other taxes paid. With goods from China until they had the Tariffs you could import Billions of dollars worth of goods a year and you have to pay a annual $500 dollar bond. That is it! Think about it.

How can American companies compete with China (or any other Country) when China does not pay any taxes? What about all the people who are working straight cash and not paying Income Tax?

And our Government has gotten too big to feed. We can not afford them.

I would say we need to get rid of Income tax that punishes honest working people and businesses and go to a point of sale National tax. That way it does not matter how much money you make or where it was made you are paying for the the Government fairly across the board. But our Government is so wasteful and out of control that they would just rip us off even more money.

As long as we have an Income tax I will support the Tariffs and in fact I think it should be equal to cost of Taxes to build here in America. We should be able to compete dollar for dollar on our own soil.

As you mentioned, DJ (dementia joe) is doing all he can to sabotage Trump. Without laws on the books the political ball just gets batted back and forth via executive orders. Speaking of laws, much of govt. waste is tacked onto non-discretionary spending and will require laws being passed.

One other thing on Tariffs, I would MUCH rather have Tariffs on Foreign goods than TAXES on AMERICAN businesses. Tariffs bring in money, they help give American businesses equal footing and now tariffs may help force China and Mexico to help stop Fentanyl and illegal aliens. You think Tariffs are expensive you should see what more taxes would cost us. And make one thing clear every single penny and more of TAXES on businesses would be passed on to us. Out here I can grow a garden, I can hunt and I can protect my property. At some point the bottom will fall out and we will be in a DEPRESSION. You can not keep putting TRILLIONS a year on a credit card and have more in Debt than you make a year. You can not do it. We are there. The larger our Debt is the less our actual money is worth so we are paying for it there to. Keystrokes may be cheaper than ink and paper but we still going to have to pay the fiddler.

Which brings us to Trump, his plan was to get everyone possible working and paying taxes and off the Welfare system. Get people paying into the system instead of living off the system and he was actually doing a good job of it until COVID. Trump fully realizes the biggest waste in our system is Government itself and not so much our people. Trump was on track to get our people working when the Democrat COVID was released. That stopped everything as it was such we had to spend billions to fight it and stopped almost all progress Trump had made in putting America back to work.

Trump is going to attack this a little different this time. He does not have to worry about getting re-elected and he knows who most of the Swamp Creatures are. So this time he is going after the big problem Government Waste, the Swamp and Lying Media. This will get ugly but is most important fight in our history. We must win. America must win. The Swamp will fight him every step of the way.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, BUSINESSES ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, OUR GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM. Time we start directing our energy towards fixing the problem instead of blaming it on us and hurting us more. Do I hold Biden Responsible for increase in Shipping Costs? ABSOLUTELY. I paid close attention to it because it effected me personally.

Biden said when he was running "I am going to try to put Gas, Coal and Oil Industries out of business" and he tried. Biden thinks we should be all electric and green energy.

Trump believes low Gas prices keeps our Economy strong and productive. I agree with Trump and think Biden is a bumbling Idiot with Dementia.

When Trump was running in 2016 one of the things he ran on was getting gas prices under $2 a gallon and he did it. Under Obama gas prices were $4 a gallon much of the time and as high as $5.50.

Gas was $1.49 a gallon day after Biden got "Elected" It started going up almost from day he took office and went up over $5 a gallon here for a while. Generally is around $3.50 a gallon or more most of his term.

I have been around the World many times and one of the things I always hear is "President of America is leader of the World" and what we do here effects the whole World. All of the people I know in China really like Trump because they know he will make our economy good and that helps them to. If we are broke or in a Depression we will not be buying much of anything from China and they have told me so. I was actually in China first time that Trump went over there and it was crazy. There was an English speaking news channel out of Africa and they were saying how much China loves Trump and wish him success. The news here was saying Trump is going to get us in a WAR with China. When we give the $3,000 a month Social Security when they have put NOTHING into it they spend much of that money shopping and it may help the economy some. But we are still paying for it. When Biden charters airplanes to bring them in it helps the airlines but we are paying for it.
This is the new Welfare that we will be paying for from now on.

Here is the problem it is Congress. They give illegal aliens 2 TRILLION and the illegal aliens put back into our economy 3.2 billion and the blow smoke up us and tell us it is good for us. I say do not spend the 2 TRILLION a year and be way ahead.

Congress spends 175 BILLION on Ukraine and then Ukraine hires many of the Congress members family and friends for Rebuilding and advice and Ukraine pays them hundreds of millions. Obama started this many years ago when he gave Ukraine 1 billion years ago and in return Ukraine hired Hunter Biden with no experience for 5 million a year and he never had to show up for work. I guess you could say that helped the economy, Hunter was able to help the local Cocaine dealers and Prostitutes. It may have been going on before Obama we do not know.

A few years ago before Nancy Pelosi would give the 50 Billion dollars to Ukraine she took 50 Democrats from Congress over to Ukraine to talk to Zelenski. Then they authorized the money to Ukraine and I am sure many of the friends and family of those who went over there are now multi millionaires.

One of the Congressman said several years ago we can never get rid of Welfare because the money that is spent on Welfare is keeping our Economy afloat.

That is just wrong thinking, they have no respect for our money and how hard we work for it. Yet they want to take more and more and waste it and act like they are doing us a favor and helping us.

I think the election went as well as could be expected by the majority of this board. That being said let's get back to racing. This conversation and others fits best in the political section. I'll be moving it there soon.
