As I sit back and see those that complain and seek media attention, I just want every American citizen to lok at thier tax rate now put upon them. Just as we adjust our Budgets (based upon our assets), I would like for our GOVERNMENT to do the same. Looking at the 36 trillion in debt we have, do we have the collateral to cover that debt? My children and their heirs deserve better. What's wrong with reviewing your finances and making adjustments. I agree, their is some good by networking with other countries and helping them to support a democracy. But the one about supplying cpndpms made me laugh. Does this mean we want that country to downsize? If so, we could use that money here. Now to my point, I agree with having our expenses reviewed, however, our Congress should make decisions on the budgeted items. Is that not their job, althpogh when was the last time they did this is a timely manner before the end of a fiscal year. And this gives voters a chance to audit their representation, in order to select one that puts their interest first. Call it whatever you choose, but for me and my family, we appreciate DOGE or whatever you call it.

A rhetorical question I assume. The government has no money, they can only tax the citizen. Therefore the printing press (computer keys really) debt is simply a deferred tax put on the individual tax payers assigned "govt. credit card". The current amount per tax payer is $323,047, and there is the answer to your question. Illegitimi non carborundum

Trump and Musk are "draining the swamp" so it's no surprise that the snakes and gators are complaining. NOT unhappy with the results. Bob

Any 6th grader can tell you owing the world 36 trillion (AND growing) is not sustainable...My hope is the couple business guys on top right now can stop, or at least, significantly slow the bleeding. Tariffs are a start. At the very least it should stop the laughing at us from the other countries . Dave F J B

Out of curiosity, look up China's national debt, as of the end of 2024 it shows 16.5 billion and Russia at 285 billion. Pretty sure per population, this is a WHOLE lot less than our individual per taxpayer debt. Besides, their debt was in the billions not trillions. Doge so far would have wiped out that debt. Thank your neighbor who you see getting up late, laying around all day and eating steak for some of this, also, the condom purchase debt in our country may have been a good investment. ha Ha

Since January 20th the Trump Administration along with the DOGE have reduced the Federal Government's spending at a rate of 4 billion dollars per day, and that savings number is increasing every day. Programs that were "Out of Country" (One example in Burma) funded in the billions were cancelled . Credit cards and monthly payments issued to deceased individuals cancelled. Payments to closed Government properties/facilities abandoned and empty for decades cancelled. Social Security checks issued to individuals who died decades ago, cancelled . The list goes on and on, and on. Who benefits? The American Tax Payer struggling to pay the rent and buy food, and as well your descendants. Bob
