I know this is a controversial subject, but this has been something I have pondered for years. It all started years ago when the subject of DACA was an issue and now with the screaming over deportations of those not citizens of the USA. Just like some of us who procrastinate changing oil etc, if you were brought here and are here by no choice of your own, and would like to be a part of our country, why haven't you started the process of becoming a citizen. YOUR CHOICE. We often hear of those that have been here many years and contribute to our economy, yet we never hear them speak out against why it takes so long to become a citizen. I have some very good friends that took the step to become U.S. citizens. When asked, they tell me because it gave them opportunities they could not achieve in their home country and labels do not pay the bills. Growing up, I was taught not to judge by the color of skin or by how much you have in your pocket (or better credit), but by your character and how you treat others.

Illegal is illegal, everything else is hyperbole. Either we are a nation of laws or we are not. Lately it seems we are not. The rule of law is what made America great, everyone treated equally (well kinda). Without enforcement of our laws we are no better than anyone else. JMO, I could be wrong.
