With his relationship with the New York Police Department dwindling, Mayor Bill de Blasio scheduled a face-to-face meeting Tuesday with the heads of five police unions.

The meeting date was set over the weekend, a week after two NYPD officers were killed in Brooklyn, further fraying ties between de Blasio and police.

A union source told the New York Post that Police Commissioner Bill Bratton helped arrange the meeting and it will take place in Queens at 2 p.m.

Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association president Pat Lynch and Sergeant’s Benevolent Association president Ed Mullins are both expected to attend.

Soldiers relocate Hawaii wedding so Obama can play golf

Two Army soldiers reportedly had to relocate their Hawaii wedding over the weekend so the commander-in-chief could play golf.

Bloomberg reports that the Army captains, Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr., had planned to get married at the 16th tee box at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, on Sunday.

Before they could say "I do,"
President Obama needed to play through.

Obama readies 2,375 new regs;

The pace of agencies issuing new rules and regulations has hit a record high under President Obama, whose administration’s rules have filled 468,500 pages in the Federal Register.

And, according to the Competitive Enterprise Institute, the president is poised to unleash another 2,375 new rules on American businesses without first giving Congress an up or down vote.

Had to post in here before some clown blames Gma for ruining a topic with his cartoons.

Was watching a program on the boob tube called "Big Rig Bounty Hunters" and these 2 toothless truck jockeys climbed into a Tonka truck looking rig parked in front of this plastered stucko looking house with garbage thru out the yard.

Made me wonder............

Obama to Give Speech About American Auto Workers in Shut Down Hybrid Car Plant

The White House confirmed Monday that President Barack Obama will visit Ford Motor Co.’s Michigan Assembly plant on Wednesday — a factory that is closed this week because of lagging demand for its small gasoline-powered and hybrid cars.

The visit — Obama’s ninth to a U.S. auto factory since taking office and 14th trip to Michigan — is expected to herald the dramatic turnaround of the U.S. auto industry. Automakers sold about 16.5 million vehicles in 2014 — the best annual sales performance since 2006 — as U.S. auto production topped 11 million for the first time since 2005.

The White House said Obama’s speech will highlight “the workers in the resurgent American automotive and manufacturing sector now that the auto rescue has been completed and the decision to save the auto industry and the over one million jobs that went with it.”

the Wayne factory that employs about 5,100 and makes the Focus gas-powered car and C-Max hybrid gasoline-electric car is shuttered this week because of falling demand caused in part by plummeting fuel prices. Autoworkers on temporary layoff get most of their pay.

In his first term, President Obama oversaw repeal of the controversial "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

Then he broke with one of the military's most deeply rooted traditions and vowed to lift the ban on women serving in combat.

And the commander in chief has aggressively sought to change military culture by cracking down on sexual assault and sexual harassment, problems that for years were underreported or overlooked.

Obama is an unpopular president in the eyes of the men and women in uniform. Yet his two-term administration is etching a deep imprint on the culture inside the armed forces. As commander in chief, he will leave behind a legacy that will shape the Pentagon's personnel policies and the social customs of rank-and-file troops for decades to come.

For Obama's supporters, the cultural changes he's overseeing are on a level with President Truman's 1948 order that desegregated the military and put it at the forefront of the national push for racial equality.

But to his critics, his moves amount to heavy-handed social engineering that erode deep-seated traditions and potentially undermine good order and discipline.

And for the troops in today's career force, the wave of changes to deep-seated policies and attitudes can be jarring.
