Obama Names Official to Coordinate US Ebola Response
President Barack Obama on Friday named attorney Ron Klain to coordinate the US response to the viral disease as it spreads beyond West Africa.
A White House official said Klain would ensure that "efforts to protect the American people by detecting, isolating and treating Ebola patients in this country are properly integrated but don't distract from the aggressive commitment to stopping Ebola at the source in West Africa."
Last week, President Obama finally began taking Ebola seriously – so seriously that he cancelled a campaign trip in order to hold an emergency meeting on Ebola. He then appointed a new Ebola czar, Ron Klain, whose stellar qualifications for handling a possible Ebola outbreak include flacking for Janet Reno, Al Gore, and Joe Biden. Finally, Obama held another Ebola meeting after going golfing. Klain skipped the meeting. It was the second such meeting Klain skipped.

Evidence supports officer’s account of shooting in Ferguson
Ferguson, Mo., police officer Darren Wilson and Michael Brown fought for control of the officer’s gun, and Wilson fatally shot the unarmed teenager after he moved toward the officer as they faced off in the street, according to interviews, news accounts and the full report of the St. Louis County autopsy of Brown’s body.
Because Wilson is white and Brown was black, the case has ignited intense debate over how police interact with African American men. But more than a half-dozen unnamed black witnesses have provided testimony to a St. Louis County grand jury that largely supports Wilson’s account of events of Aug. 9, according to several people familiar with the investigation who spoke with The Washington Post.
Some of the physical evidence — including blood spatter analysis, shell casings and ballistics tests — also supports Wilson’s account of the shooting, The Post’s sources said, which cast Brown as an aggressor who threatened the officer’s life. The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are prohibited from publicly discussing the case.
Seven or eight African American eyewitnesses have provided testimony consistent with Wilson’s account, but none of them have spoken publicly out of fear for their safety, The Washington Post’s sources said.
“The family has not believed anything the police or this medical examiner has said,” Crump said. “They have their witnesses. We have seven witnesses that we know about that say the opposite.”

Ebola czar Ron Klain is still out of sight as N.Y., N.J. defend decision to go beyond CDC guidelines
The White House insisted Klain, appointed by President Obama, is working behind the scenes to coordinate the government's response to the Ebola virus while a top doctor called the lack of leadership 'laughable.' Meanwhile, the governors of New York and New Jersey stood by their quarantine policies despite the CDC's recommendations that they're not necessary.

Netanyahu rejected the criticism Wednesday, saying in the Knesset that he was “personally attacked purely because I defend Israel, and despite all the attacks against me, I will continue to defend our country; I will continue to defend the citizens of Israel.”
The prime minister said he remained confident that disagreements between the US and Israel, which centre on the peace talks and the international negotiations over Iran’s nuclear programme, would not affect the two countries’ “deep connection”.
“I respect and appreciate the deep ties with the United States we’ve had since the establishment of the state,” he said. “We’ve had arguments before, and we’ll have them again, but this will not come at the expense of the deep connection between our peoples and our countries.”
Obama is quoted as replying: “You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him every day!”
Kerry says US official's 'chicken****' jibe at Netanyahu was disgraceful and damaging
