I guess I am just out of touch. What emergency response plans does this island have? Are their vast governing bodies not responsible for maintaining them? Not only do they expect relief supplies to be brought to them, they expect them hand delivered to every citizen. What are their plans for disasters like this? No backup communication whatsoever. No efforts to get their infrastructure basics back up and running. What is their government doing to recover?

WARNING: Uncontrolled rant: Puerto Rico is to commonwealths as Illinois/Detroit are to states/cities. Which is to say they are broke, have corrupt politicians and can't print money. Wall Street has offered, to take advantage of them, and restructure some of their debt but that would only facilitate getting FEMA money. They have, or had, deteriorating above ground electrical lines like back in the 40's and 50's in the US. I'm sure the rest of their infrastructure is in a like state of decay. So I dare say it's not a matter of repair like say Texas, it a matter of starting from scratch. And starting from scratch if tough with no money and no credit. So, at what point does personal (ie country) responsibility kick in or does America just borrow/print more money and give it to them on the taxpayers credit card (ie national debt). This folly of unfunded spending can not continue w/o consequences. Who bails out America when our wanton ways come home to roost? No one, American will suffer and the whole world will suffer. But NO hard decisions will be made, we will charge ahead until it self-corrects. Then all the political finger pointing will be for naught, except for the idiots that will follow the political wind.

With the continuing damage to PR, and their inability to help themselves....is it time to call this a total?

Interesting events about the LV shooting.
Yesterday the Sheriff announced the security guard was shot through the shooters door BEFORE he fired on the crowd instead of after he'd quit firing like they claimed previously?
So far there hasn't been an explanation why it took the police over an hour after that to reach the room?

Or maybe he was a Village Idiot. On the other side, he was shot on the 32nd floor and not one single person heard the shot.

Why does the STUPID VOTER post one post after another?

Now it comes out that nobody at mandalay bay called 911 that night even after the guy called down about a barrage of gunshots being fired in the 100 hallway on the 32nd floor!
The ambulance chasers are all salivating!
I heard one crowing today about how these lawsuits are REALLY GOOD because they shine the light on things like this?
Non-stop for 11 days now, how much more shine do we need?

As the STUPID VOTER keeps digging the hole he is in deeper!
According to the latest iteration the shooter fired 200 rounds when he fired at the security guard and nobody heard it?
There are any number of reports now about security being extremely short handed at MGM properties and having had virtually NO TRAINING! So maybe the higher ups didn't believe this guy when he called in and stated someone had fired a barrage of rounds at him?
Eerily an investigator got into mgm's personnel files and there is no record of this guy being employed by MGM?

Las Vegas Boulevard is afloat in drool from the ambulance chasers when they heard when the guard was shot!
This could break mgm's back but sadly it won't do that to the terrorist loving CEO because he sold 90% of his stock in the corporation lately!
WHY?????
So there is STUPID VOTER!
All security people have radios, even if he couldn't move a sane person would think he'd call and tell his boss he'd been shot through the door of the room?
Maybe he was a "fruits-an-nuts-stater"and couldn't process that?
