| I fell for the plastic rod BS way back when, the guy almost got off with my money. And no, they weren't 18 grand but I was foolish enough to send the money up front. When you see them in a running engine and they're not having troubles and you just have to have them then go right ahead. Steel rods for me from now on. Two broken engines from aluminum coming apart was enough.

Aluminum about 8 pass' max life. Carbon fiber better last 15 times that at that price so only need 90 runs or about 10 cranks.LOL Lets wait and see how many JFr and DSR buy.

| I have to say, I LOVE the idea that if a rod breaks you're not replacing EVERYTHING. $18,000 is A LOT CHEAPER than buying a complete NEW ENGINE and that's if you can find blocks, cranks, etc. They'll pay for themselves in 1 engine failure.

| So they are strong enough to last millions of cycles and handle Top Fuel horsepower but if they break they will not destroy block? Hmmmm. Another thing that concerns me is heat and oil soaking into it. Steel rods stretch a little when they get hot, aluminum even more.
