I run the B&M version of the old shogun KoolKan....Trans temp has never been an issue. Still have the Koolkan that I ran before it. Switched because the shogun deal is chromed, and that retains heat. The B&M can doesn't, and seems to cool better. Got it from a racing friend here, brand new, never been used....works for me...and one less thing to wire up

I use the B&M stacked plate coolers on my street/strip vehicles, and they work great. That said, there's something up with B&M coolers - they all say "no longer available" on Summit's website. Don't know if it's supply chain issues or what. I was able to find one a couple of weeks ago at Speedway Motors, but no one else had them available.

The OP nor any bracket racer needs an $800 transmission pan plus spend another $150 on -6 hose and fittings to maintain normal transmission fluid temperatures typically seen in a bracket car!

No, not a need. You can maintain temperature with a cheapo cooler and 8 ft. of fuel hose like many do.

Agree 100% and it’s the method used by most bracket racers with door cars.

Don’t spend $800 for a trans pan with a water jacket but spend $800 for a Jones pump is ok.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Once again there are those amongst us that think they know yet prove time and time again they are clueless and Wrong as well charter members of the ain’t got shyt nor done shyt worth talking about crowd!

The OP does not need a trans pump to maintain trans fluid temps typical in a bracket car and if not for tbe fact that my dragster was built with a Jones trans pump, I wouldn’t have one.
