Has anyone put a K&N 66-1601 on a K&N 60-1640 air cleaner assembly?

I guess not, has the quality seem to have really gone down in K&N products? I just purchased a new air cleaner assembly and wow the fit sucks. The filter is flimsy and seems oversized.
