Anyone got any advice on shopping for an entry level simulator rig, mostly just the ****pit and controls? I had Nascar 4 and a wheel/pedal set back at the turn of the century, I know they've come a long way since then, and I don't want to clamp it to a desk. For the grandkids....they're both accomplished real life drivers, little man is eat up with it especially. What's the hot game package? Has anyone yet developed a decent bracket racing sim? there are a TON of sim-rigs out there for racing. your budget and the features you want will be the deciding factors. force feedback (electric vs hydro) hydro vs static pedals sim motion/actuators vs fixed seats shifters, controls the list goes on. there is a matter of having monitors and a PC which will depend on your requirements for video resolution and the types of "games" or "simulations" you plan to use. games like assetto corso have a solid modding community that includes graphics mods for realism but you are talking about needing a 2-3k built PC to run something like that reliably for any extended period of time. I have heard of a user built bracket racing game. If i remember correctly it was developed some younger but recognizable names in bracket racing. I'm sure if you asked around on facebook or a did a google search you could find it. ------------------------------------------ "Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persist in his or her error."
