Double or single acting? To use as SLE and throttle stop.

I have always used a double. And it has always worked well. But not sure if it is needed. The singles are considerably cheaper.

I’ve always used double acting and used it as an SLE and switch one wire and adjust it for t-stop racing.

I’ve had various stops and preferred the Dedenbaer
Better solenoids and rpm adjustment design.

The Biondo also worked fine, dual acting

a SLE is just that, it's not a good throttle stop.

If you're just using it as an SLE then the single is probably fine but if you're planning on using it as a throttle stop then you should get the dual as it's supposed to be more consistent & gives you more adjustability.

Bottom line if you plan to compete in a throttle stop class for a championship, buy a plate stop.

I will get a double acting for my son's car too since he may throttle stop race too. I have only been able to use the cable style since I was mfi for decades. It worked really well for my setup. We are both efi now, so cable it is again. I have always been reluctant to trust spring pressure for reliable closing time/rate.

I use a double-acting with no flow control valves to run SC with my Terminator. Works well for me.

Use as a SLE and throttle stop during the same run, all at dead idle.
