Little ChiefBrodix repair
I just had my T1 heads welded up and also new guides. They had given me a quote on repairs that I thought was more than fair. They called me this morning to tell me the heads are ready and the price was a 100.00 less than quoted. I didn't think this could happen in today's economy. Thank you Brodix you have a very happy customer. LC

GoobThat's good to hear, I have a set that one needs repaired.
Did you send them complete, and let them send them back ready to bolt on?
I've been hesitant to send mine in, afraid that I'll be spending near the cost of a newer version.

Are you going back with the Brodix valves, or some other brand? IIRC, the "stock" valves are a weird length?
They declined to give me any sort of quote when I inquired, which I sort of understand.
I'll guess that you didn't get a quote until they had the heads?
All said and done, how close to the price of a new set of heads will you have in them?

Not to hijack this thread, but what valve brands/ models would be better at not failing (breaking) in a drag race engine?

The Brodix valves are good quality I believe, just a weird length. I had to replace a couple, but cant remember what brand they were. Ferrea maybe?
Either way, Ferrea and Manley are both good, in the stainless variety.

Little ChiefMy head builder wants me to use Manley SS severe duty valves. I will need all new components except for springs which are 4 passes old. Looking like around 1800.00 and I will be able to run methanol now that the epoxy is gone

Little ChiefI provided Brodix with pics and got a rough estimate, once they had them they were spot on the quote but I did opt for new guides.
