JESEL steel pretty damn nice. More money too.

Probably a hair better technology than T&D.

But I know of a guy going 4.50's with a ProCharger 3200 lbs Ultra Street radial tire car, runs T&D steel, zero failures.

Either or, I'd say. Manton too, just depends on budget.

We just did T&D steel on this tall deck aluminum BBC I'm doing for my neighbor, for around $2800, I think he paid with the more expensive stand system..

That’s one hell of a tall deck aluminum BBC you have there!

Why won't a set of crower extreme duty work with a good stud girdle?

The t&d look like a nice setup. You guys have steel on the sbc and bbc in your posts?

My son Mike has a set of Crower shaft rockers on his 6.11 / 6.12 blown 522 BBC Top Dragster. Three years, zero problems with the Crowers'.

Yes, steel. 2nd season, over 300 passes and nothing has broken

Personally Manton would be my choice. All those brands mentioned would work well though.....the cylinder pressure in a boosted engine puts an extreme load on the exhaust rockers because the exhaust valve is opening against that cylinder pressure which is higher than a NA engine.

I will ask since no one else did, what are you presently using that is breaking?

Yes Sir, two different people. That's what I'm saying though, either brand is good. JESEL and Manton steel appear to be slightly higher technology than T&D.

Really depends what ya got, like Big Steve alluded to.

The sbc has 1400 open spring pressure (boosted).

The BBC has 950-1000 open spring pressure (n/a)

Crower shaft. While they’re lower run pieces they’re pretty old.

Are you breaking intake or exhaust rockers? What is the cam lift?

Yea I figured about 800 lift which is fine and all that is needed with a blower motor IMO. My blower cam is .799 on the exhaust, .810 intake, spring is 375 on the seat. I have 1.70 aluminum T&D and 1/2 inch Manton push rods on the exhaust side. 30 lbs boost and have never broke a rocker in 4 years that wasn't caused by something else. I had originally asked for steel Exh. rockers but I received aluminum and didnt want to wait 3 months so I put them in and hasn't been an issue for me.

At only 8-10lbs of boost you should be just fine T&D, Jesel or Crower shaft rockers, just stay away from the sportsman lines so you have the good stands and make sure your geometry is right, they say MAX 1 turn in on the adjuster nuts to obtain correct lash, mine are all less that 1 turn.

If you loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster screw counterclockwise until it stops, you should not have to turn it back in more than 1 turn to obtain your lash set point. Reason is you want the adjuster screw inside the rocker body and not hanging out to prevent the adjusters from breaking. This comes directly from Sheldon at T&D and is also in the set up instructions. Hope this helps
