Mike Rietow23 degree sbc Edelbrock SV2 intake still the best? What ya got?
This is a Edelbrock SV2 we added weld / material around the plenum to transform a 4150 SV2 into a 4500.
PKRE the nitrous vender ported this for us, and textured it around the plenum/cosmetics. I don't know Paul personally but that dude can do a intake.
If you can get Paul to do a intake for ya, it's a worthwhile venture.

markemarkNice !!
I believe the area where Edelbrock places their Logo on that intake is thin. Did he have to fill that outer area to convert this to 4500?
What size sbc is this going onto?

TU
We added weld, PKRE ported the intake, drilled tapped, smoothed and textured for cosmetics.
This is the intake I run on my 427. Paul doesn't do a lot of intakes these days I don't think, he does nitrous systems mainly. Not sure why he did this one but he did a helluva job. I was looking at the converter in comparison to the 4150 SV2 I port matched with a 4150 carb I took off. I knew this PKRE 4500 intake made more power, the first time I decked it on the converter.
I think a big carb well thought out 4500 intake helps a relatively speaking weak, out of the box cylinder head.
