I know that the Racequip carbon helmets used to be just like a carbon sticker, but it looks like the new carbon helmets are actually made of carbon now and are significantly more expensive.. Can anyone confirm this now? I was looking at getting a new 2020 helmet as mine is an older 2010 rating, and I like the look of the Vesta20 Carbon, and wouldn't mind paying a little extra if it is actually carbon fiber now... Yes they are carbon. Ive had mine for little over a year and no regrets on it so far. I wear glasses and usually wear a pair with thicker temples which allows them to go on with helmet much easier, but I have worn my thinner pair without issue. Just takes little more time to put those on.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Jodie Jent,

What about RJS? I have a carbon version and like it very much. My eyeglasses/sunglasses did not fit inside the Racequip helmet, if that matters.

For anyone curious, Racequip replied to my email and the new "Carbon" helmets are actually made of carbon fiber, no weights yet documented but they said it isn't a huge difference so the main reason for the carbon material would be strength and maybe a little weight difference but nothing spectacular. Just an FYI for anyone else looking for the information. Nick Craig 1971 Camaro Split Bumper 376ci LS3
