How important is having the lowest resistance? Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

Well the less resistance the more spark energy that is available. Now at what point the resistance is too much and causes a problem I really don’t know. Low resistance values have always been touted as a selling point for plug wires though. ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner

Go to the Magnacor website and read about conductors. Lowest resistance isn't always the best. Mark Goulette Owner/Driver of the Livin' The Dream Racing dragster www.livinthedreamracing.com "Speed kills but it's better than going slow!" Authorized Amsoil Retailer

That was the most marketing double speak I have read in a long time all the while trying to divert your attention from resistance to EMI. I'm not saying they don't make a good product and/or that EMI suppression isn't important in certain situations, (not sure that situation is a race engine). I'm not trying to support any specific product, just that I believe you need to read between the lines of their technical information. In the end they are still trying to sell a product. I just have a set of MSD wires on mine so I am using probably exactly what I'm certain is what they say to avoid. I would like to see in person the back to back of the 9 hp those wires claim in the link I shared. It's a crap shoot if you aren't able to do testing yourself. I run MSD on mine as well and have zero issues. Also read a lot on conductors from other sources besides magnacor, and I stick by my statement that lowest resistance isn't always the best. EMI suppression is the most important, everything else is secondary, especially with the electronics we have now. I will say this though, unless you have some serious issues going on, I doubt you'll gain enough by changing wires to make any kind of noticeable difference. It all comes down to preference more than anything, and experience with a particular brand or style.
