Billy Torrence/Lucas Oil Fabrication’s 001 car is a work of art that does the Undercover name proud! It launched perfect and It’s the fastest Super Comp car on the property after Q1, running 192+ This message has been edited. Last edited by: 1320racer,

Nice car. Dial gauges, I love it. All it's needs is a CV driveshaft............well, and a blower! 272" Spitzer 540 Chevy The Blower Shop XR1 FTI XPM Series Converter FTI Level 6 Powerglide 3.69@199 .916 60' 2017 Bradenton Heads Up Madness Open Outlaw Champ 2018 PDRA T/D #5 2019 PDRA T/D #2 2020 Retired From T/D Competition.... 2020 Bradenton NMCA Hemi Shootout Winner 2021 getting back into bracket racing with a Gen3 Hemi powered 87 Cutlass.

No room in the nose for a full size battery. This car has a lithium battery in front of the foot well.

What are the major changes that you can see from our cars?

Goodyears... Did you slap him for supporting them....LOL I think not.... Undercovers always impressed me as the best built cars out there. Kind of like looking at a Don Ness built car and a couple others back in the day.

I always felt that way about Worthy cars even growing up in race tech country. Undercover made great cars, but when I was younger I just didn’t like the Wally on the blow shield. true story. The new undercover looks great, as did the older ones once I grew up. Lol Mikey

I look at welds among other things. Nice neat work vs just get it welded up.....and other little details... I have a Racetech and its like a Chevy to me compared to some others that are more like Cadillacs....

All that is great that they copied an Undercover but what made the brand was not just the design but the incomparable welding done by one of best (Bill F.)that carried a 10 yr warranty on the welds. It's now Elite Chassis !

Steve, there aren’t major changes, more of subtle changes. Probably the most recognizable change is the windshield and the rear suspension. What I can tell you after speaking to Billy for an hour is that it was very apparent that he is all about quality, detail and building the best working car. One thing is clear, Billy is only going to build these cars with carbon bodies and I believe the available options will be few, like choosing between mechanical gauges and Racepak’s IQ3 dash. I did ask Billy if he would build some options specific to my current car and he said he would. I also asked Billy if he would engrave the Wally on the blow shield and that too was yes. To be clear, Undercover Motorsports is not back in business, matter of fact these cars use the name Undercover, not undercover motorsports. These cars are build by Lucas Oil Fabrication and finished by Billy and his crew and will be boutique very high end cars with only the best components. Further, Billy is not using any of the vendors that Kurt used to build his cars. That said, Bill Fredrick was the man behind Undercover and I still may have him build my next car but only if it’s identical in every way to my current car and no disprect to him, but in my opinion the welds, wiring, craftsmanship on Billy Torence’s 001 LOF/TR car is at least on par with anything that has come out of Undercover Motorsports. This message has been edited.
