582 Headhunter cam spec

582 Headhunter cam spec
What cam spec are most running on , 1/8 mile, 582 ci 383 HH, 2200 door car race ready, 1.80 trans , 4.30 gear.. 33.5 tire...bought a Comp grind, combo has been lazy since day 1, have made many conveter changes with same result...looking at making cam change...any help would be appreciated...thx.current cam is

You can't just look at the 50 numbers, it doesn't give you a real idea what the lobes are, meaning lazy to aggressive.

You also haven't listed the details of the motor other than the heads along with your power goals...…..

He's not just looking at the duration at 050, you are. He told ya it's been lazy "since day 1", he's tried several torque converters.

He's not asking anyone to critique the combo.

He's looking for a new cam.

Obviously, he knows objectively, through experience the ol' cam has lazy lobes.
