What's the furthest you've pushed your 250 blower engine?

Total Race Weight?
Engine Size?
Boost Number?

Gulliti has been low 20's with his and I believe a 31 pulley, he runs 30's most of the time with a 33 and a 598, don't know what his weight is. I am 2135lbs and a 582 with only 3lbs of boost running low 40's and high 30's. Spanky (Wilson Racing Engines) has been low 30's in his sons car with a 598 and a 33 pulley, don't know the weight. Another racer here in East Texas has a 2850lb Berretta, 598 and has been 4.80's with a 31 in good air making 6.5lbs, and runs 4.90's in heat of summer with a 33 making 4lbs. I am about 95% sure on the numbers for these cars but they can chime in.

Not disputing your performance, but you need a new boost gauge...

Here in Ohio, it seems common 565-598's seem to settle in on high 4.40's to mid 4.50's, cars that were 4.70-4.80 cars prior to blower. This is all obviously pulley dependent etc. plus we're at 1100' track altitude most places, and most of these guys don't change cam or anything.. Just bolt the blower on and go.

The above mentioned beretta weighs 2740 with 598. With a 33 top and 67 bottom pulley, it has been 4.85@144 in killer fall air but is typically a 4.92-6@141 in the heat. A swap to a 31 pulley is worth approximately .06 and 1.5-2 mph. We intend to run our 29 pulley this fall and see where we can go. The best mph to date is 147.

Around 2100 lbs with steel block, 598, brodix bb3s, 33 pulley, 1 carb, 4.26 at 163 mph at sea level in winter time. Will go faster now I suspect with faster pulley, also now has larger Get M carb on it.

Will that same gear go 1/4 as well?

Yep to the alcohol. There is a brother and sister around here in 2 black dragsters I'm pretty sure I've seen them dialed 4.19 before.

Wonder if there is any issue with heat from spinning the blower too fast with Alky?

I would assume you could mitigate the heat issue with the alcohol fuel, and effectively spin the blower as fast as it can go without coming apart.

I've ran a the 29 tooth a bunch without issues, mainly q16 stuff. I bracket race and 4.50 index with a 33 tooth. It creates significantly less heat than the 29 tooth.

Based strictly on how much water temp it builds driving to the staging lanes. Scientific research method, absolutely not lol

Low 4.40’s with the 33 pulley at 2150 lbs here. I haven’t really run it in good air yet. I’m using a 10” converter, shifting at 7200 and crossing at 6900. Just went 188mph on the stop in 3700’ DA in Topeka also. It’s looking to be a pretty killer S/C setup…

Are you talking water temp or intake temp?

water temp. ambient conditions and how slow the clown in front of me drives to the lanes skew any usable info. Just an observation.
